What kind of materials did you use and how did you paint it?

For this one, I recall using a cardboard carpet tube, custom-sculpted latex texture pieces, misc. toy bits, including some Star Trek nacelles and a toy circular saw.

After that, I spray painted it flat black and then brought out the details with silver and dark bronze acrylic paint sponged on.

Thanks for asking!!

Thank you!

Your Steampunk pieces rock as well!
I'm just getting into the genre. I've seen a few of your book cover designs at Handmade Books. Very cool work!
Thanks for the :+fav: on my Cyborg Arm XXIII!

Thanks!

I have A LOT of fun turning one thing into another. The Cyborg Arms are unlike anything out there. I've never seen anyone but myself sell them online. I'm kind of surprised because just about anyone with a bit of imagination and hot glue can make one out of old toys and hardware. The profit potential has always been there.
My view is that it's kind of like "re-purposing" for the sake of art and costuming.

I used to be in Trek group in Sacramento, CA. LOL

I'd probably come across friends that I haven't seen or heard from in centuries! Forums sure do make the world a little more cozy! Plus, they make networking a breeze!

As for the Predator mask, I've been working on a sculpt these past 5 months as time allows. At some point, I'll post some pictures of it in progress. Not quite ready for the spotlight yet.

Are you a member of a Predator costuming forum called "The Hunter's Lair"? I'm a member there as DangerDavey.
