Heehee.  Awesome.  I used to love those things as a kid.  Now the sugary sweetness would not work so well for me.

Awww! *HUGS*

Don't worry. These and other artifacts still exist and are cherished.

All of the good stuff fell through the star fissure and ended up in other Ages, I'm sure.

And all of the Ages of the D'ni still live and thrive in our hearts!!

Shorah! So, here they are. We were searching them for a long time. Our chief of village was very angry, because they are missing from our island. Please visit us and bring back. Now I must link back.

LOL

The Ink Beetle likes it here. He has a girlfriend and a nice home under the house.

But the other relics keep making a u-turn in the starry expanse and end up back in my Garden Age. :)

Yep. The mine car ride and Maglev still make me queasy just thinking about them!! LOL

Sad that the only bits of Riven that survived the Age collapse are scattered in the New Mexico plains.

I still play Riven every now and again. Especially when I'm working on new artifact merchandise.

I remember playing Myst and getting intrigued by the "Exploring" I could do. Then when I got Riven (on that old fashioned 5 disc set), getting the clues, writing down the facts to solve the puzzles. Saving Catherine and Atrus and letting them escape through the linking book before I fell through the star Fissure into the stars....ohh the memories ^-^

I think that the Myst games are going to be part of my life forever. I seem to be surrounding myself with treasures from the D'ni culture! I'm a bit obsessed. Rand, Robyn and Tim got me hooked from the first link.

Danke!

I'm still working out the logistics of how to produce the Ink Beetle.(So many legs!!) But I've made and sold 5 of the Puzzle Balls and plan to make more. The Dagger was created by [link]
He's sold out of them now, I believe. :O(

I was selling the Puzzle Balls for $75 each.

I'll be going for something other than ceramic for the balls. Perhaps wood, for a more authentic look and feel. Then I can carve the design into the wood itself.

The trick with the Ink Beetles is finding way to make the legs and antennae that is not too time-intensive so that they will be affordable to my fellow Explorers. It would be easy enough to make a mold for the carapace. Nature and specialty toy stores carry large bug toys that have the right kind of legs for the beetles. If I can find enough of a particular style, I'd be a true "leg man".

I thought about creating such a beetle an puzzleba too, but I just don't know yet, if I can do it ;)

Your works are beautiful!

Thank you, again!

It definitely takes a steady, experienced hand and eye for detail to bring many of these artifacts into our dimension to be touched, held and displayed.

I *know* that every Explorer and fan that cherishes the Myst Universe would love to take home relics and artifacts from the Ages they visit. I am no different. I started with the Journey Cloths and continued on from there.

The best thing about it all is that I have the blessings and approval of Cyan Worlds to sell these wonderful artifacts. Any new items that I come up with just need to be approved as I go, and then, it's on to the fans!! It took me many years to build a relationship with them that was strong enough for an agreement to be reached. Well worth the effort, patience and dedication!! Good times.

Thanks for the watch! I will sure return it, for i don't want to miss your next creations!

If not, I'd love to see what you have.

I tried to decipher your comment, but could not discover it's meaning. I tried D'ni, Japanese and Bronese.(Bronese?)

I'm assuming that it's not bad or crude. Possibly complimentary. Either way...thanks! :)

What does it mean?

Thanks.

The daggers were actually made by Mystriven. [link]
I think he might have one or two left. It just looked so good with my Riven Puzzle Ball and Ink Beetle that I had to include it in the picture.

Oh! I almost thought Mystriven was like your old account and you moved!

I love your puzzle ball you made, I even considered buying it. I just wish it was actually made of wood. :\ I'm just trying to find some Myst replicas to collect.

You make great stuff, man. Much respect.

This is great. I just received my Moiety dagger from MystRiven also and am currently working on my own puzzle ball as well (which would be finished were I not such a perfectionist :D). Soon I shall be able to all but recreate this scene for myself at home.... sans the beetle however (can you say "project" - lol)
