These are my custom-sculpted charms that I wear nearly every day and night. They give me more a of a sense of being part of something larger than any one belief system. I feel more a part of the Earth and Universe itself when I am wearing them. From left to right are the symbols for Life, Protection, Earth and Re-birth. I plan to make more to wear as they call to me. The basic shapes are cast from custom press-molds and then I carved the symbols into them. They are all between 2" and 3" inches long and strung on leather strips. The longer ones are meant to look like wood in the shape of a cat's paw. The shorter one is just a generic shape that will work well with many other symbols.
I'm not sure that there is a market for these. But I may try listing them in ETSY when I get my tush into gear with that.
If I was able to fool a highly perceptive artist such as yourself into thinking that the charms were made of wood, I have achieved the effect that I wanted.
"Wood-burning" is the correct term. You got it right!!
Hahah you did awesome! I really like the symbolism and the simplicity of the charms. My fave symbol is chaos. X3 The version I like is it shaped in a clockwise spiral.
Yes. I sculpted these myself. And,emphatically, YES!! I can take requests for the symbol designs.
I've been having fun making these so far. Very exciting and inspiring. The charms seem to be performing their function well so far. My Celtic roots must be starting to push to the surface and lead themselves and me to the spiritual and magical realms.
I've begun saving symbols such as Astrological, Periodic, Alchemy and Planetary for reference. I am also willing to do custom symbols, provided they are not too complex. Celtic knots are a bit tricky. But basic symbols such as on my Charms are pretty easy to do.
I'm doing a Tree of Life and Pagan Good Luck symbol right now to add to my mystic "arsenal".
I printed out the pages that you found. Great idea on the Planets, Zodiac and other symbols!
I think a few of them area already in my reference files. But one can never have too much reference!!
I sculpted the pieces to look like old, weather-worn wood and the base color of the epoxy is an ideal shade of gray that can be seen through some of the paint. As the paint wears away, it won't effect the look of the pendants. it will just add to the aged appearance.

Funny, I just was thinking of trying to open a store there and selling some quilts. Daughter told me about Etsy, I bought her a fish shirt.
